JAY JENNINGS: Curator of The Knott's Museum

Jay Jennings (seen here with boxes of vintage Knott's photograph albums, books, and DVD's), has been researching and collecting Knott's Berry Farm history for nearly 30 years. He has written two books on the subject and has contributed his knowledge and expertise to various articles, TV interviews, documentaries, and other books on local Southern California amusement parks. Jennings' goal is to preserve as much Knott's history as possible, in the form of rare, vintage memorabilia, collectibles, and souvenirs.

Two big supporters of Jay Jennings' efforts to preserve Knott's Berry Farm history are Walter Knott's only living daughter, Marion (above), and grandson, Steve (below). Marion explained, "I grew up on this farm and I'm very grateful that Jay is keeping its memory alive and well."

Steve Knott added: "Jay really knows his Knott's history. I lived it my whole life and the facts and accuracy in his Knott's books are right on the money."

KNOTT'S MEMORABILIA ON DISPLAY

Here on display is just a small sample from the Knott's Berry Farm Museum's vast collection of vintage memorabilia dating as far back as the late-1920s. These rare items include menus, maps, matchbooks, ashtrays, cigarette lighters, films, toys, books, brochures, pictorial guides, magazines, tickets, mugs, shot glasses, spoons, snapshots, postcards, signed letters, and much more. Many of these one-of-a-kind items were donated to the museum by past farm employees and even the Knott family themselves.
